FAST TRACK Speakers Academy History

FAST TRACK Speakers Academy is an idea that started in 1999 when the NSA-NE board of directors asked for ideas to help the chapter get a $1,000 grant that was being offered by NSA. That led to a planning meeting with four members to create a program that would help speakers take their career to the next level. The focus was on the tools that would propel them into the career their dreams.

Margo Chevers, Judy Buch, Jane Pollak and Susan Keane Baker were the members who developed a 20-week program to teach speakers the business and marketing side of business. The kick off date was September 2001. The program was structured to build in accountability for what they had learned with homework assignments.

The group dynamics that developed in class, helped participants encourage each other to do more and be more than they would by themselves. This has led them to make strides in growing their business.

The success and the feedback of the first year prompted the founders to expand the program to 22 weeks to include more information.

As the criteria for membership in NSA has changed, this program will help those speakers who are struggling to survive. It will build their business to a level where they meet the standards of NSA.

We welcome members and non-members alike to take part in this dynamic and vital program that can be life-altering.
